Electrified CLA With New Modular Platform

After the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz EQS electric vehicle in 2021, the automaker has led the way with impressive electrified sedans and SUVs. The 2026 CLA will be the next addition to the Mercedes-Benz lineup as the automaker works toward electrifying its entire lineup. The 2026 CLA will use the new Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture, making it aerodynamic and attractive, even more so than the EQE and EQS.

The new 2026 CLA sedan will feature rear-wheel drive with a 268-horsepower rear motor. Drivers can choose an all-wheel drive model with a second electric motor over the front axle. The all-wheel-drive CLA will deliver an impressive 375 horsepower. This innovative new EV will use an 800-volt charging architecture, so it will charge quickly at DC fast charging stations.

Roomy Interior & Innovative Exterior

The 2026 CLA is expected to be roomier than the previous generation, even with the sloped rear window. Drivers can choose a large panoramic roof as well as a variety of upholstery textiles. The interior technology includes a 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14.0-inch central touchscreen. A 14.0-inch passenger touchscreen is available. The new infotainment system uses the MB.OS operating system with over-the-air software updates and a “Hey, Mercedes” AI-based virtual assistant.

On the outside, the 2026 CLA has the sloping rear that separates the CLA from the rest of the Mercedes-Benz lineup. New features in the 2026 CLA include a Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star in the headlights, frameless door glass, and a narrow light bar that spans the front of the vehicle.

The All-New 2026 CLA Hybrid

Mercedes-Benz will also offer the 2026 CLA with hybrid powertrains for drivers who still like to have a gas-powered engine. The hybrid powertrain will include a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt electric system. Like the EV model, the hybrid model will be available in front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The 48-volt system will include a 28-horsepower electric motor and a 1.3-kWh lithium-ion battery.

The hybrid system will be able to drive short distances on electric power with a seamless and smooth transition away from the transmission.
